Proud moment for the REGnosys team!
Last week, our very own Software Engineering Consultant, Simon Cockx delivered an informative talk at Dutch Functional Programming Day 2025 in Leuven, Belgium, on solving global reporting compliance with the open-source Rune DSL.
With the financial industry spending billions annually to fragmented regulatory efforts, Rune provides a solution to standardise reporting logic and enables cross-compatibility between diverse data standards, fostering collaboration and reducing compliance costs.
Speaking to the annual gathering of researchers, students, and practitioners, Simon outlined the journey of Rune, from initial incubation by REGnosys and now hosting in open source at FINOS.
He also highlighted his aspiration that those involved in programming languages and those involved with human-machine interaction would join hands and view language design through the lens of user experience.
The event brought together great minds from the industry and academia. Huge thanks to Tom Schrijvers for organising this inspiring event!
