Meet our Associate Consultant Oscar Twomey!
Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at REGnosys
I joined the Client Services team at REGnosys in January 2025. My role entails assisting clients with CDM modelling requirements, codifying new and updated regulatory logic in DRR, and acting as a point of contact for any Rosetta, CDM, or DRR related queries.
I am originally from Ireland and graduated from University College Cork in 2021 with a degree in Business Information Systems. After taking a gap year, I decided I wanted to move to London and have been here since 2022.
I always knew I wanted to live in London, I love the size and energy of the city. It’s it is such a hub for FinTech as well, so moving here with my degree made complete sense!
Outside of work I enjoy reading, running and discovering new corners of the city.
What do you see as your main priority in your role?
The main priority in my role is ensuring the highest level of satisfaction for our clients when using Rosetta and accessing CDM or DRR. Because different clients have very different needs, my role covers a wide range of business areas that all fall under the umbrella of CDM. This is great as it forces me to learn about the different areas within finance but also how and what our clients are trying to achieve with CDM. The more I learn, the more impactful I can be both with clients and with the company.
Why did you choose to work at REGnosys?
When I saw the job opening to join the client services team, what immediately caught my eye was the data modelling aspect of the role. Although I had no prior experience in data modelling, I knew it would be a fascinating and valuable skill to develop.
Gaining proficiency and understanding of an industry-led, open-source modelling language sounded like a really exciting move to make in my career.
My role before REGnosys was in derivatives post-trade processing, so I was also aware of the importance and challenges around regulatory reporting without being directly involved. The chance to help solve an industry-wide challenge while gaining hands-on experience with a modelling language was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
