REGnosys at ISLA's 33rd Annual Securities Finance & Collateral Management Conference

Our CEO and Founder, Laurent-Olivier Labeis, and Head of Client Services, Lionel Smith-Gordon, have been in Lisbon as REGnosys proudly sponsors International Securities Lending Association (ISLA)’s 33rd Annual Securities Finance & Collateral Management Conference, where discussions have highlighted how areas such as settlement cycle change, tokenisation, AI and common standards are rapidly moving from policy ambition to operational delivery.

• Day 1 focused on Europe’s move to T+1 and the operational rewiring ahead across front office, operations, collateral and reporting. SFTR remains firmly on the agenda too, with reporting quality and regulatory alignment reinforcing the need for standardisation.

• Day 2 turned to implementation with José Maria Brandão de Brito, Deputy Finance Minister of Portugal, setting out the policy context around competitiveness, market infrastructure and digital transformation, while the leaders’ discussion moderated by Brooke Hawkins Gillman explored automation, pricing transparency and scalable collateral workflows.

David Rowan's keynote brought technology into focus, with a reminder that the opportunity is to rethink existing processes and build smarter market infrastructure. That theme carried into wider discussions on tokenised collateral, digital asset infrastructure and interoperability.

A key theme of the event was moving from fragmented transformation to shared implementation. That urgency carried into the networking conversations, as firms are looking to adapt quickly to regulatory timelines, settlement cycles and technological reforms which are all accelerating.

Common data standards, shared models and transparent workflows will enable scale across regulatory reporting, collateral mobility, digital assets and post-trade automation.

Thank you to International Securities Lending Association (ISLA), the speakers and everyone we have spoken to in Lisbon for a thoughtful and forward-looking conference so far.

Data Modelling

Take an existing data pipeline of any form…

Just choose among your existing business processes to experiment a model-driven approach in +/- 2 days.
We can start from any kind of artefact, from XML messages down to Excel or even PDF documents.

… To demonstrate the model-driven approach…

Our team of data engineering experts works in immersion with you and guide the process from start to finish.
Our promise: some executable data pipeline running based on your model by the end of the workshop.

… Which you can deploy within your organisation

All it takes is a cross-functional team of developers and non-developers, who is open to a fresh (and fun!) approach.
The buck doesn’t stop there. That team is now empowered to carry that project forward and build model-based pipelines for your organisation.

Model-Driven Regulation

Bring-on the regulatory text…

Can be anything in your existing corpus, as long as it’s digestible and relatively self-contained.
The target is to deconstruct that text and reconstruct a model of the regulation in +/- 2 days.

… We’ll handle the rest…

Our team of regulatory and engineering experts works in immersion with you and guide the process from start to finish.
Our promise: some executable code running by the end of the workshop, delivered to you and ready for demonstration.

… And you’re ready to develop rules on your own

All it takes is a cross-functional team, ideally all-encompassing from policy to technology, who is open to a fresh (and fun!) approach.
The buck doesn’t stop there. Your team is now empowered to carry that project forward inside your organisation.
