Office and HR Manager

We are looking for a versatile office and HR manager to support the corporate operations of our London office.

Mission

We have secured some high-profile client including top-tier investment banks, law firms and standard-setting bodies.

What you'll do day to day
  • You will join a rapidly expanding team and take responsibility for implementing critical processes to sustain the company's future growth.
Operational
  • Manage the company's day-to-day finance processes: issuing and tracking invoices, reconciling amounts vs contracts, running monthly payroll forecast and updates.
  • Act as the main point of contact for our clients' procurement office, keeping our supplier profile up-to-date.
  • Record office expenditure and manage the budget including ordering equipment and stationery.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes, such as record management, online and paper filing systems.
  • Implement processes to ensure data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data. Review and update policies as required.
  • Identify a suitable new office space, to support the future growth plans of the business. Plan and manage the company move.
  • Plan the company's event calendar and organise relevant events: client events, charity days and seasonal celebrations.
HR
  • Develop and implement HR policies, liaising with external HR consultant to ensure all documentation and polices are up to date and adhere to government regulations.
  • Oversee the recruitment of new staff, including advertising job roles, arranging interviews, issuing contracts, on boarding and induction.
  • Manage the performance appraisal process and coordinate continuing professional development opportunities for the team.
  • Implement and promote diversity and inclusion policies and develop and implement the business's ESG plans.
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience working in an office manager or HR manager role
  • Higher education (BA or above) in a finance, law, marketing or business subject
  • Proficiency in standard Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive as well as accounting software
  • Strong organisational skills and effective communicator
  • Ability to work autonomously very quickly, take ownership and act proactively
Extra things we'd love to see (non-essential)
  • Proficient use of social media and web platforms (primarily: LinkedIn, WordPress)
  • CIPD Level 5
  • Experience organising large events
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles
  • Comfortable (or even geek!) with corporate productivity tools such as: Slack, Xero, HubSpot, JIRA etc.

Our platform went live in production in 2020 and has since been used to support the industry's compliance with an ever-changing set of complex regulatory data requirements.
