Tell us a bit about yourself and your role at REGnosys
Growing up, I developed a strong interest in mathematics, which led me to study the subject at university. It was during this time that I stumbled upon programming, and I was immediately hooked by its logical and creative problem-solving aspects. This discovery steered me towards a career in software engineering.
My first graduate role provided an opportunity to learn the foundations in full-stack engineering. Towards the end of this role, I shifted my focus primarily to front-end projects and seized the opportunity to specialise in UI/UX development. Building a design system from the ground up was a unique and enjoyable experience, which provided valuable insights into various user needs and preferences.
Presently, as a full stack engineer at REGnosys. I'm actively involved in both back-end and front-end development. I'm fascinated by the intricacies of the entire data flow, from storage implementation to retrieval and presentation to users.
Moving forward, I'm eager to further navigate this ever-evolving field, learning from industry leaders, and leveraging technology to solve real-world problems.
Why did you choose to work at REGnosys?
I joined REGnosys as I was keen to learn from the talented people in the team, who have gained diverse experiences in the field. It's a great platform for acquiring valuable knowledge and exploring new technologies, particularly with the DSL implementation within the Rosetta platform, which was a new and fascinating concept for me. The startup environment also offers a range of responsibilities, providing exposure to various aspects of the business and the potential to make impactful contributions to the company's growth journey. Joining REGnosys means diving into new challenges, pushing boundaries, and bering part of something transformative. Fundamentally, this aligns well with my career aspirations.
A day in the life: what’s your typical working day like?
In my day-to-day, I mainly work on the Rosetta platform. I often collaborate with the team, engaging in various tasks such as contributing to the design and implementation of new features, enhancing existing functionalities, and conducting tests for quality assurance. We work in a hybrid environment, with a balance between working from home and in office, which I find very accommodating and allows for a personalised working experience.
